Sunsetter

Gaze into the horizon as the sky cracks and bleeds onto the earth a scarlet sunset. Search for the last spear of pure blue sky battling the red mist. Watch it become orange, than red, then black. Darkness falls. And you gaze and you smile. Another job well done, another evening opens the way for the night. Another battle won by the billions of stars flickering brightly in the enormous black infinity. Nothing dares disturb it, and what does dare, turns to nothing in a frame of an infinite time, in a space with no boundaries known to the simple beholder. And leading the battle is you. The sunsetter, the one that brings on the night.
